WiseQing products, services and website can be accessed by users in various locations with specific privacy requirements.
This privacy policy and our related Privacy Notices (see below) describe how we collect, use, protect, share and transfer the information we collect about you when you use any of our products and services, websites or apps, or otherwise interact with us.

Information We Collect
Identity Data
We collect information such as your username, password, email address, IP address (collected when you sign up). This information is also used to identify individual users on the Internet and to reward and attribute events to you. Your username and additional content you provide, including your profile picture, Q&A content, and reputation, are publicly visible. We or our community moderators may delete a question, answer, comment, or all, and after deletion such information is only available to certain community members or WiseQing employees.
Contact Data : including delivery address, email address and telephone numbers for operational purposes, including the provision of Services and Products.
Technical Data : how you access our website, including internet protocol (IP) address, your login data, traffic data, browser type and version, time zone setting and location, browser plug-in types and versions, operating system and platform that informs us, and other contact data about. Other account and usage information, including your IP address and browser data, may be used for diagnostics, security, and Product and Service optimization.
Account registration information
When you sign up for a WiseQing account, we collect your name and email address, username and any additional information you provide. We will generate a unique identification number that we will use to identify you when you log in. We need to collect your personal information for account registration purposes. Although the Network provides anonymous and pseudonymous participation, in some cases we require account registration to use certain Products or Services. This requires additional information such as a name associated with your account, an email address where we can contact you, and in some cases, a contact address, billing address and a password to help keep your personal information secure.
Invoice information
Since WiseQing does not offer any payment-based products, your billing information is not collected.
Profile info
When filling out a public "profile", whether for use with the Network or our Products and Services, we may ask you to share certain personally identifiable information in required and optional profile fields. The name and reputation scores associated with your account, which you can review and change in your account settings, are publicly displayed and linked to your activity through Products and Services on the WiseQing Network. Moderators with elevated access privileges can access non-public user profile data, content in posts, and other public data. Other profile information may also be publicly viewable if you choose to complete certain optional components of the Account Registration options; Some information is publicly displayed and required, for example, your Developer Story, display image, affiliate role and company, location and technologies you prefer (javascript, fast, sql) -server, etc.) and how long you have been a member for.

Can I revoke permissions when I put information on the Internet?
Please note that when using the Public Q&A Network, you cannot revoke WiseQing's permission to post and allow others to have derivative rights to such public content.
Content you contribute to the public network is permanently public, and WiseQing loses direct control over such content once it is posted on the open internet. It also means that if you post personal information about yourself, you do so at your own risk, including at the risk of waiving your privacy rights in such information. However, we may work with users to remove personal data that was sent in error or that a user wishes to remove.
Additionally, WiseQing makes such public content available from time to time by compiling it through Creative Commons Data Dump and providing public content to the WiseQing Network. You should be aware that once this type of content is public, it usually cannot be removed from public view, even if removed from the WiseQing network and our servers.

Cookies and Similar Technologies
When you visit our network and sites or use our applications, we may automatically collect personal data from you using cookies or similar technologies. Tracing
WiseQing emails use Javascript to track email opens, clicks, and unsubscribes, or may contain a small, invisible, single-pixel image that can be used to notify us when the email is opened or forwarded. If images are enabled on the email recipient's device, a message requesting the image (automatic request) is sent to WiseQing's server when the email is opened. This request is logged by WiseQing and notifies us that the email has been opened. A similar process can be used with regard to links or attachments in email, for content accessible via links or attachments, a request is sent to WiseQing notifying WiseQing that the link or attachment has been accessed.
Developer Survey
WiseQing conducts an annual Developer Survey to provide key insights into the developer community, as well as from time to time, some demographic (e.g. gender, race, age, etc.) and some personal information. Advertising on Our Network
We work with third-party advertisers to advertise on our network. This includes tracking, targeting and measuring using your personal data. Before using your personal data in this way, we will obtain consent through our online consent management portal or other consent mechanisms.

Google Ads

We will only process your data for any online or digital advertising on the basis of your informed consent, which can be withdrawn at any time, or if we have a legitimate interest. Your data can only be used by WiseQing and is not shared with other parties.
How Long Do We Keep Your Personal Data?
We will only retain your personal data for as long as necessary for the purposes set out in this privacy statement and to fulfill our legal obligations. We will not hold more data than we need. As long as you remain a user or customer of the Internet, we will retain your data to continue providing services to you.
Due to applicable tax and other laws, we are required to retain certain basic information about our customers for a longer period of time. In some cases, you can ask us to delete your data.
Your choices - how you access and control your personal data
You can make choices regarding the collection and use of your data by WiseQing in the various ways outlined below.
You can change or correct your account settings and choose not to share certain information by creating a pseudonymous account. You can also remove some optional information that you no longer want publicly displayed, such as your photo or work history.
You can also control your personal data collected by WiseQing and exercise your data protection rights as specified in the section below or by using the tools described below. Please note that in some cases your ability to access or control your personal data will be limited under applicable law.
Promotional emails, SMS messages, phone calls and mails from WiseQing
When we send promotional emails and texts, we will give you an 'unsubscribe' option to opt out of receiving such messages. You can disable receiving phone calls. We may send promotional e-mails from time to time, if you do not want to receive e-mails, you can let us know by contacting us. You can also disable it in your Profile Settings .

Where we process your information (locations)
WiseQing will process your information through or on behalf of its organizations located in Turkey. We may transfer your information to companies and other third parties working on our behalf and agents located outside the European Economic Area.
Please note that privacy laws and standards in certain countries outside the UK and EEA, including the right of authorities to access your personal information, may differ from those in your country of residence. We will only transfer personal information to countries where the law allows us to transfer personal information, and we will continue to ensure that your personal information is appropriately protected. Our ongoing commitment to data security
Safety is important to us and we know it's important to you too. WiseQing follows generally accepted standards when processing, transferring and storing your personal information, including Transport Layer Security ("TLS").

We limit access to your personal data to people with a genuine business need and only as necessary to pursue our legitimate business interests. We also recommend that you protect yourself against unauthorized access to your personal information by choosing a password carefully and in accordance with industry best standards.
