When cooking pasta, always use plenty of water, use at least one liter of water for each package of pasta you use. Use a sufficiently large pot, as there must be room for the pasta to cook properly. The typical procedure for cooking pasta is to boil 7-8 liters of water, add salt, then add the pasta and cook for the cooking time in the package. Do not add oil to the pasta cooking water or pass the pasta through cold water after straining it, this will make the pasta surface slippery and prevent the pasta sticking.
