Finland is well regarded to have one of the best education systems in the country. Has a strong emphasis on no standardized testing especially in young children (eat your heart out of America) and children are encouraged to play and spend their childhood as it should be: with laughter and occasional tumble.
This embracing of your childhood works well for them, as Finland has a high rate of high school graduates and a large number of high school students (a lot higher than America) and continues to be one of the leading countries in the field of reading and science.
Now compare this to the routine of American children who, at a young age, are asked to do well to excel in life from the moment they are born and are told to go home and study and do homework for 3 hours a day, so that they don't fall behind their other peers.
