How did Slash make his way into rock music?

Born in Hampstead, London in 1965, Slash lived in England until the age of 11, before moving to Los Angeles with his family. The son of an Afro-American mother and an English father, Slash was born into such an environment that it would have been inevitable for him to be interested in rock music, even if it were to be replaced by anyone else. His mother, Ola, was a costume designer for John Lennon, and his father, Anthony, was the album cover designer for Neil Young and David Bowie. And we must point out that Joni Mitchell was a neighbor at the time. Joni Mitchell is a beautiful woman in all her forms, from folk to jazz (for those who don't recognize her).
