What should media focus more: education or politics?

I agree that education should be the priority and I'm not saying it because I'm an educator. Education empowers individuals through awareness and expertise, allowing them to take full charge of their destiny through stable employment, and community change empowerment that can enhance quality of life. Education is a continuos process. No one can take it away from you once you have it while politics can be unpredictable and variable depending on who is in charge. However, I find that politicians who promote education always end up supporting themselves by cultivating voters who are better able to learn and make educated decisions about political issues.
