There was a popular myth for a long time that the Elephant was the only animal that could not jump. While it is true that the elephant is unable to jump in the true sense of the word, there are also many other animals that cannot achieve lift-off as it were.

There is a myth about elephants being the only mammal that can not jump. Yes, they actually can't but they are not the only ones. Elephants are the only mammals that have four knees. Maybe it is this uniqueness that prevents them from jumping.

Other than them, sloths, hippos, and rhinos can't either. Although, unlike elephants, hippos and rhinos can have all four feet off the ground at the same time when they run.
