Scientific studies at the Karolinska Institute in Sweden revealed the reason why most people gain weight as they age. According to the results published by Professor Dr. Peter Arner et al. In Nature Medicine, the lipid cycle in fat cells (the rate of burning and storing fats) slows down as people age, making weight easier to gain.
Loose connective tissue, called body fat, consists of cells that are largely called fat cells that store energy as fat. The researchers found that when people in a group of 10 men and 44 women followed the changes in fat cells for an average of 13 years, the lipid cycle in all subjects gradually slowed, regardless of whether they gained or lost weight. This results in even people who do not get more calories or exercise less when they age. Not gaining weight as you get older is only possible by reducing your calorie intake.
